Armed with nothing but a passion for replicating the delectable cookies from her time studying in Auckland, she turned to the vast realm of social media for her culinary education. Opening a bakery without prior experience or sufficient capital seemed like a daunting task, but for Ms. Nur Iylia, challenges were meant to be conquered.
The breakthrough came during her Master's studies at UTP in 2016, where the absence of cafes on campus became the perfect canvas for her creations. The irresistible allure of her cookies captured hearts and taste buds, paving the way for the acquisition of a second-hand oven and the natural evolution into baking cakes and brownies.
As demand soared, a small but mighty shop emerged in Batu Gajah. Nestled in a village area, the shop became a local sensation, garnering substantial support from the community. Ms. Nur Iylia, armed with self-taught skills from YouTube and fueled by an unwavering dedication to quality, seized the opportunity to expand the menu, introducing flavored coffees to complement the decadent treats.
The journey reached new heights with a strategic move to the current location at the Manhattan Business Center, Jalan Pasir Puteh. Despite the growth, My Ultimate Bakes remained true to its roots, maintaining the initial schedule that ensured both customer satisfaction and the well-being of its dedicated employees.
